About the Author
The editor of this collection, Andy Zubko, has also collaborated on a book about the American saint Peace Pilgrim. Born in New Jersey, he became a partner in a successful greeting card company. Although very successful materially in business, he found himself deeply unsatisfied with his life. He sold his share of the business and took over an orphanage that the Catholic Church had decided to close. He has worked with Peace Pilgrim, with homeless people, and with Mother Teresa's nuns in Haiti, and now lives a contemplative life in an almond orchard in Northern California.

Best book of Quotations from multiple Spiritual Sources

This is the best book on spiritual and inspirational quotations which includes multiple faiths. There's the massive Catholic Quotations, Burton Stephenson's Bible Quotations, Mead's Bible Quotations, Quotation books from the Bahai, Hindu and Buddhist faiths, but this one does the best job of blending together spiritual sources and literary sources on spiritual topics from the broadest range.
Not only that, it covers a wide range of topics that not all might call spiritual, and I think this is good. Like the Buddhist saying goes, after enlightenment you still chop wood and carry water.
This is a subject categorized book, which makes it fun to read and easier to use for source material for lecture or writing projects. Or, just put it in your bathroom and get inspired a few column inches at a time.
It's a big book, with 10,000+ quotes, so there is a lot of great material, much of it unique.
I've always felt that one of the best things about quotation books are the authors and books they introduce you to, so you can pursue them in greater depth. If you like to read spiritual material, this book is a like a chocolate sampler loaded with tasty goodies which will help you learn what new flavors to further pursue.

I have had this book out of the library for almost six months now....yea, yea, I should buy it already and I know that one day I will. It's probably the best book I've ever laid my eyes on. I definitely recommend this book to EVERYONE. One doesn't need a whole novel or self-help text to influence their lives. A couple lines will do. Take a look at some of the most influencing words of all time and your heart will show you where to go for knowledge, spirituality, and strength.

Truly a Treasure

I've had my copy for years now and every time I come across it and start flipping through the pages I become immersed for hours. This inspiring book has thousands of thought provoking, spiritual quotations collected from all through the ages and from all over the world. I usually let friends borrow my books or I sell or give them away. I rarely keep many. But this one is never far away from me and is never going anywhere! Very much worth your money, you won't regret it. I'm certain you'll cherish yours as much as I do mine.
